Don’t you just hate it when someone tells you, “I told you so?” Even more frustrating can be having to tell yourself “I told you so” because you didn’t listen to your own instincts.Anybody can develop their intuition if they know how, it just takes some attention to detail and thinking outside the box.
Learning to develop your intuition is somewhat like learning to understand a foreign language to which you had never been exposed. The more intently you pay attention to what your intuition is telling you, the more you will begin to understand the thoughts and feelings that are coming across. With each intuitive experience, you’ll understand more clearly when your intuition is communicating with you and what the best course of action is. Eventually, the voice of your intuition will sound as clear and strong as your conscious internal monologue.
It only takes some attention and a true desire to develop your intuition. You do not need to have any super psychic abilities or expensive private formal training. Your personal intuition zone is actually growing stronger simply because you are putting forth the effort to read this article. You are already giving your intuition a dose of the attention and focus required to hone the skill.
There are a few good practices you can put into place when trying to develop your intuition.Spending time with no distractions is one way.For example, you can turn off your cell phone and radio while going to work. Take this time to consciously attempt to hear your intuition. Try to quiet your negative or random thoughts and only hear things that have that seem to well from something deeper. Another good practice is to write down any intuitive thoughts or feelings you have and later confirm them or deny them as appropriate.
When you “hear” your intuition, it may come in forms much more than hearing a voice inside you that tells you some piece of information in words. Your intuition will speak to you in many different forms. Even things such as smells that don’t seem to have a discernable source or cravings for foods that have no obvious explanation can be your intuition speaking to you.
Remain open and receptive when your intuition directs you to do something, but does not tell you why. When the time is right, your intuition will tell you way. Often the reason why does not immediately become clear even when one day you understand completely. Trust your intuition and never tell yourself “I told you so!” again.
