This is an issue I have often wondered about so far as Tarot telephone psychic readings are concerned. How much power does the reader have to subconsciously affect the querent to the extent where, later, they act out the details of the reading they have been given?

The process of Tarot reading is a very intimate one in which, like with the best telephone psychics, both parties are receptive and open at a psychic level. This being so, any information imparted during the reading period will infiltrate quite deeply into the mind of the querent. The querent will behave in accordance with the reading given, so creating the events they were told would take place.

This would certainly be very influential when you do the sort of reading where you tell a person that they will undertake a course of action they had never previously contemplated. Most experienced tarot readers will have, on many occasions, predicted things in readings that the querent rejects as ‘something I have never even considered’. But of course once the idea is there, they are bound to consider it aren’t they?

Looking back over my own experiences, I recall the querent who believed she wasn’t ‘clever enough’ to undertake extended study. Her reading indicated subsequent success ad dedicated work. Last year, She left University with degree in hand. She said that reading is the thing that really made her start seriously considering study…so…self-fulfilling prophecy, in this case.

A tarot reader’s words can surface in a querent’s mind at the most unlikely times. With unpredictable consequences. We have a special obligation to be very thoughtful about what we say to our querents – they are, in some ways, at our mercy. Most specifically we need to be sure to temper every single reading we give with love, respect and compassion. We can, most literally, change peoples’ lives by reading for them.

It means that to leave the querent feeling as positive and hopeful as possible ,we have a duty to attempt, no matter what we find in a free phone psychic reading.

My answer to this question is “yes!!” Here’s why…..

If you are going to spend years of your life learning about the tarot cards, their levels of meaning, their differing interpretations, the working peculiarities of different layouts, you will spend many many hours in study. Of course, a great deal of this will be fascinating, enlightening and will assist in your own development. But indeed some of it will be very hard work. Thus you deserve to get paid! Try using tarot cards for telephone psychic readings.

Think of that the permutations on a theme with 78 cards, each with several layers of meaning, you will have to understand completely. Several types of layout, every one with its own quirks and oddities, every one demanding that you comprehend its working thoroughly. Each layout having different placements for the cards, each of which will slightly alter its meaning. And of course certain layouts demand that you read one or more card positions against each other …..starting to fetch the idea??

Next,if you’ll read for people, you will also have to counsel them to a degree. This is why. You’ll need to outline important options for them, approach telling them difficult things carefully, help them to think of themselves as adequate and worthy human beings. You have to understand fully about how people can get their needs fulfilled and how people work. This is what the best telephone psychics do.

There is also the work you will have to invest in your psychic development. People WILL be able to read Tarot if he is willing to put in the dedicated study to understand decks and cards,. The difference between the good Tarot reader and the great Tarot reader is entirely dependent on their psychic ability.

To read Tarot is NOT a gift. It is a hard-earned and responsible skill. It takes years to reach the extent that you are able to read efficiently. At this point, you can see yourself as an expert. And you have every right to charge a fee for the service you perform like all other professionals who have trained in other areas!! Forget free phone psychic readings!

When first studying tarot, the first step is to clear your mind. Focusing on your breath is an effective technique to do that. This essential if you want to learn the meaning of tarot cards. The results will be more focused if you don’t have anything in the way.

With that rule of thumb in mind, the next step is to determine which type of tarot cards you prefer. Many cards have pictures, which vary widely in terms of their style. Not that the look is that important, but if it pleases you, you’ll be that much more relaxed when you use it.

After you know which deck of cards you want to use, you’ll need to get to know the individual card meanings. For this, a tutorial in book form can be quite helpful. You might want to begin with a copy of Learning The Tarot by Joan Bunning. This book or one that’s similar will allow you to have the fundamental knowledge you need to begin reading cards. No matter which book you buy, the best approach is to read it thoroughly and then cast it aside when you begin working with the cards.

It’s best to put the book aside because you need to activate your intuition to use the cards. You’ll need to develop your own interpretations of the cards to really use them effectively. Interestingly, intuitive interpretations are usually pretty similar to those found in books.

Tarot readings aren’t like an astrological reading or telephone psychic readings. When you’re ready to finally read the cards, there are different approaches. The easiest way to start is to utilize the card-a-day technique. With this method, one card is chosen each day, which represents how the day will turn out. A constellation is another method that can be used. To use the constellation, you gather all the cards of the same prime number (cards numbered one through nine), regardless of the suit. Array all the cards for one number in front of you. See which cards attract or repel you. Repeat with every set of numbered cards. Getting to know the cards like this will help your readings go more smoothly.

Minor Arcana cards in four suits and Major Arcana cards, which are not in suits comprised the tarot. Wands, Swords, Cups and Plates match the four elemental tools which are the four suits of the Minor Arcana. Numbered cards in each suit (ace through 10) and court cards (page, knight, queen and king) composed the minor Arcana cards.

Major Arcana cards are all the other cards in the deck and are related to but not tied to a particular suit. They represent principles, concepts or ideals while minor arcana cards represent the many ways that those principles manifest in the everyday or mundane world. We have lost touch with them and we have no foundation for them while the ideas expressed in the major arcana cards are not taught in our culture. Therefore, we have to be careful not to apply present day meanings to these past time symbols.

Anyone can learn the art of reading tarot cards – it’s not difficult. Like any art or science, it just takes practice and a strong desire to learn. One easy way to start learning the tarot is to get the Esoteric School Tarot Home Study course, which will teach you everything covered in this article, including the art of reading tarot cards, Tarot Spreads, meanings for tarot cards and two real tarot card spreads.

To actually study the cards themselves is one of the best and most personal ways to develop meanings for the cards while there are lots of books out there that give you the meaning of tarot cards. The cards were developed with pictures and symbols which represent the concept being expressed.

Once you intuit this meaning,You’ll find you or someone else is losing power when you looking for places in your life or in everyday life. The meaning becomes real and you will never forget it when the concept is translated into everyday life.

While there are lots of tarot card books out there that give you the meaning of tarot cards, one of the best and most personal ways to develop meanings for the cards is to actually study the cards themselves. The cards were developed with symbols and pictures that represent the concept being expressed.

For instance, in the Waite-Rider deck, the Four of Swords depicts a man lying on a bier, on which is pictured a horizontal sword. Let past conflicts come to resolution or rest is the meaning of the card of “to bury the hatchet”. The man is literally resting on top of the sword ,swords are the fire element, which means conflicts or fighting, he is allowing them to come to rest and resting on old issues. He has “buried the hatchet!”

You can see flying wands coming down to land in the eight of wands (see below) similarly. The eight of wands represents new ideas or inspirations, because wands are the air element, and stand for ideas, inspiration, thoughts and communication. Once you know the element associated with each suit and look at the card for the concept being expressed, you will begin to intuit the meaning for tarot cards easily. This is a both more reliable and more intuitive approach than relying on someone elseís interpretatio(as a starting point, although you may want to use someone elseís definition).

Many of tarot readers learn the meaning for tarot cards by taking one card a day, intuiting the meaning, then looking for examples of that meaning or concept in everyday life. For example, see below , the in the seven of swords card,a thief is stealing away with 7 swords. Swords are fire, which is also power, therefore the seven of swords is the loss of power. Once you intuit this meaning,You’ll find you or someone else is losing power when you looking for places in your life or in everyday life. When the concept is spreaded into everyday life, you will never forget it because the meaning becomes real.

Ask seven people how to do a reading and get seven different answers as with most things on this path.

As long as your intent is pure, you will get what you need to know,There is no wrong way to do a reading.

What is suggested here is merely a guide, You will develop you own style fairly quickly.

Setting up

This can be as elaborate or simple as you’d like.

You probably noticed that most Tarot readers will spread a cloth over whatever surface they are doing readings on. This serves two purposes,it keeps your cards clean on the practical side. On a psychic side, the color you chose to use can help with the vibrations of the card. I tend to like black, as it doesn’t interfere with energies. For divination and psychic ability,Others like blue, yellow or purple.

Here are some elements of set up you might consider:

Some readers start by purifying their space, even smudging it

Clothes can be draped over surfaces where readings are to be done

Appropriate gemstones can be spread about

Appropriate incense and candles lit

Some meditate

Some readers go through a whole ritual before reading, including casting a circle and calling quarters

Some light candles and incense and play soft music.

Others do nothing but pull out the deck

Do what feels right to you, whatever connects you to the energy of the universe or puts you in the “groove” to do readings. I suggest the one thing that to rid it of any energy that might interfere with a reading if it is possible is to do a quick smudge of the room. And it’s always a great idea to ground and center and take a few deep breaths before beginning.

When doing a reading, you turn off the TV,the phones, and shut the pets out, because you do want to make sure you won’t be interrupted. Make sure in the environment of a comfortable temperature. And make sure you looked comfortably dressed. You can’t concentrate on a reading if your top is constricting your breathing.

Drawing cards

Once you have everything set up and are focused, it’s time to begin, Take out your cards. What it is you want to know is important to concentrate on as you shuffle them. It is better to ask open-ended questions as opposed to yes or no questions. The clearer the question, the clearer the answer will be. Keep simple questions. You should focus on the experience rather than the outcome. It will represent exactly what you want to know if you make sure your question is specific. you can ask for what you might need to know for the next week or general guidance ,If you don’t have a specific issue to address,or that the spirits/deities tell you whatever it is you need to know right now. Make sure to concentrate.

When you feel ready to do the spread, stop shuffling.

How you do is up to you,Whether or not you cut the deck now. From the top of the deck, some people will then deal out cards. Others randomly draw cards and fan them out. Others choosing cards still using a pendulum. The choice is made by you.

A point of note: If a card or cards fall out when you are shuffling, put them aside; they usually jump out for a reason and should be included in your interpretation.

(If you are doing a reading for others, you need to decide their level of involvement. Will they do all of the above? Will they only cut or shuffle the deck? would they even touch the cards at all?)

Remember, you cannot draw a wrong card.

As doing two readings, you might want to look at it if you are doing a spread. The card in relation to the position it occupies in the spread is the first reading. The second reading is how the cards relate to each other. Each reading tells a story about someone’s life. You have to piece it together.

When doing a reading, if something is unclear, don’t be afraid to pull more cards from the deck for clarification. Or, when you finish the first reading, you can reshuffle the deck and move on to a clarification readings. Raised the question as the focal point for the second reading,Some readers will keep the initial card.

When I would switch decks mid-reading,there have been times,So don’t feel limited by a spread or a deck,I’ve done 40+ card readings. Go with your gut, you’ll know when a reading is over and either feel it or you will find the cards repeating themselves or all of the sudden the new cards won’t make any sense.

If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to read tarot cards for dummies you have finally found the information you need to get you started! Keep in mind that this is an art form and not a science, all information presented in this article is subject to your own discretion.

When most people think of Tarot cards, they think of magic and mystery, festivals and fairs and more than anything, gypsies and charlatans. In reality the world of tarot has been around for ages and it is a trade that is based on belief meaning that the more you believe, the more likely your prediction will come true. They can answer all sorts of questions relating to love, your future, hopes, aspirations and dreams. Be prepared to be completely mesmerized by what you may learn from a professional because more often then not things that are predicted often come true and are too strange to discount as coincidence.

Because the Tarot tradition is such a mysterious and unexplained discipline, there are no universal laws or rules that Tarot reading follows and the interpretation often times depends on the interpreter. A few things you might want to do before you begin down this road include:

1.) Purchase a new deck of Tarot cards at your local magic shop. (Rider-Waite comes highly recommended)

2.) Place the deck of cards under your pillow or near your bed for a few nights to create a psychic attachment and tune the cards.

There are several methods for reading tarot cards but the one recommended for the first time user is called “cold reading.” In essence this is the purist way to read the cards and doesn’t require anything except your ability to read between the lines. Essentially you look at the card and describe the emotion or event that comes to mind based on the imagery.

Because there are so many variations of cards that come in all varieties and everything from racecars to ancient gods and goddesses, it can be difficult to break down each card in detail and often times the card means different things to different people. Before trying to read the cards on your own, it’s definitely wise to seek out a professional and have the cards read for you for a minor cost. This will give you a good sense of the technical aspects of card reading and can also get you used to the terminology and methodology that the professionals use.

Many people recommend using older Tarot cards instead of purchasing a new deck because of the properties and power that they may obtain over time. In addition, the styles and artwork tend to be more elaborate and can provide you with an experience that exceeds the experience you would have with newer versions.

The most common tarot card decks use a four-card, diamond design. The first card No. 1 at the top point of the diamond generally can be used to describe your love life and things that involve intimacy. The next card, below card one on the right point, will be used to represent your financial situation and financial prospects. The third card on the lower point of the diamond will commonly represent your personal well being and state of joy or depression. The fourth card, which is placed opposite card No. 2 on the left diamond point will be used to represent your profession.

It is hard to describe how to read tarot cards for dummies in such a short article and its recommended that if you are truly interested in this subject you shop amazon or ebay for books about the discipline.
